Buttons

Where do we start with buttons?  We can all remember rummaging through our mum’s, gran’s or auntie’s button box, endlessly playing with the little gems and jewels! I hope I wasn’t the only one finding hours of fun in a well used, ancient tin. I have combined the buttons from my mum’s tin, two of my auntie’s tins and my grandmother’s tin, and they are now in two vases in the shop. And every once in awhile, I have a look and am still amazed at the craftsmanship in some of these buttons, and fondly remember some of the garments they used to adorn.
